York Heating & Air Conditioning products are part of Johnson Controls, a company committed to quality technology since 1885. York joined the Johnson Controls family in 2006 as part of the top brands in HVAC equipment and controls. Back in 1924, it was York HVAC equipment used in the world’s first air-conditioned office!
York offers a wide range of home, office, and building comfort technologies including:
- Air Conditioners
- Heat Pumps
- Mini Split Systems
- Thermostat Controls
- And much more
Meyers Heating & Air Conditioning is committed to the York brand, providing these comfort systems and more, and is the exclusive York contractor for Boulder!
Building Confidence with Every York HVAC Installation
Did you know that there is a strong correlation between the frequency of HVAC system repair and the quality of the installation? Professional, experienced sizing and installation of your home or office heating or cooling systems is key to its long-term performance and reliability!
York HVAC products are designed, engineered, and assembled in the U.S. to reflect the company’s passion and commitment to high-quality systems. At Meyers, we match this level of quality with our approach to installation to ensure customers receive the very best system that will continue to perform, long-term, and keep homeowners comfortable and confident.
Our aligned commitment to quality makes Meyers and York a perfect match!
More than four years ago, an article came out in Consumer Reports stating that York equipment, the furnace in particular, was less than reliable. This review and ranking is not something we think is credible or reflective of the York brand and quality. We believe this for several, key reasons:
Consumer Reports is built using consumer opinions (not industry experts)
It is difficult to gauge which installations were performed by a homeowner instead of a professional HVAC installer
Likewise, because some of this input may be from “do it yourself” homeowners, it cannot be determined whether the system has been appropriately sized for the application
There is no measure whether units were properly maintained or serviced
New construction companies, who often try to save money and don’t use HVAC specialists, like Meyers, will typically result in new homeowners experiencing double the repair rate
Consumer Reports industry experts have awarded the York furnace the Energy Start Best Buy award the same year as the consumer-voted poor reliability ranking
Consumer Reports have declined to state when they will provide a new, updated ranking
At Meyers, we believe in the York brand and want our customers to feel nothing but confidence in installing this range of products in the home. Our commitment is to provide complete HVAC services that will deliver total indoor comfort, no matter the Colorado weather.
